Absolute Sanctuary
There are three key aspects of life which all of us would like to achieve: Good Health, Prosperity & Longevity. Sustaining good health enables us to enjoy life without sickness or diseases whilst wealth gives us the means to lead a comfortable life and the ability to help others. Longevity on the other hand refers to the durability of one’s life, free from illness and disabilities. What lies common in achieving all 3 is Vital Energy. Chinese call this Qi and Indians named it Prana.
This specially curated retreat by Victor Chng guides you on activating this vital energy, using it as a form of healing to manifest a purposeful life, through a combination of daily Yoga & Qi Gong practices and lecture sessions. During the retreat, you will learn to use a combination of Yoga and Qigong to achieve balance in the joints, tissues, and organs through physical practice, breathing and meditation sessions. You will come away with an alignment of your body, emotions, and mind.
Practices
Hatha Yoga
Yoga combining breathing with movement is an important practice for moving prana through the body. In this retreat, the practice will be focused on strengthening the hips, lower back and legs as the lower body provides support to the spine. There will also be work on enhancing spine and joints flexibility.
Qigong
Basic Qigong movement will be introduced in this retreat to cultivate the circular Qi movement in the body. Movements will be based on Five Phases of Wood, Fire, Metal, Earth and Water. In addition, basic Taiji hand and hips movement will also be introduced for Taiji progression into a complete form.
Breathing
Taoist Breathing will be introduced to enhance Qi circulation and projection of Qi to different organs. Using Taoist Six Healing Sounds, participants will use sounds to stimulate different internal organs.
Meditation
Basic Meditation skills will be taught to provide the foundation for calm-abiding of the mind. Vipassana Meditation will be the key technique used for mental clarity and participants will be taught how to handle discursive thoughts and strong emotions which arise during meditation
