Contraindications for Colonics/Detox

Please kindly note that the resort does not accept people who suffer from any chronic diseases/conditions, who are pregnant or suffer from addictions for its detox programs. Please let us know if you fall into either category so that we can recommend you alternatives.

The following conditions are contraindicated for colonics &/or detox and the resort is unable to perform colon hydrotherapy on you if you have the following conditions unless a written consent from a licensed medical doctor is given.

Severe cardiac disease; e.g. uncontrolled hypertension or high bloo pressure conditions
Congestive heart failure, recent heart attack, heart surgery or organic valve disease

• Aneurysm
• GI haemorrhage, perforation or abdominal hernia
• Severe haemorrhoids, anal fistulas or fissures
• Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s Disease or Diverticulitis
• Cirrhosis of the liver, liver dysfunction or kidney dysfunction
• Abortion or miscarriage (less than 6 months)
• Cancer of the colon, rectum or GI tract
• Surgery of colon or GI tract (less than 6 months)
• Epilepsy or history of seizures
• Uncontrolled diabetes
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• HIV/AIDS
